Where do butterflies got the beautiful colors??

BUTTERFLIES are one of the most beautiful & colorful creations of nature. Flying from one flower to another, their bright colored wings changes color and seem to shimmer. Actually the colors we see come from a complex chemical & structural system in their wings. If you look under a low power microscope, each scale of butterfly is only one color like a mosaic. So, the question is "How we perceive those brilliant butterfly colors”?? WELL, these colors come from two sources: pigmented (or original) colors  and structural colors. The ordinary color comes from normal chemical pigments that absorb certain wavelengths of light and reflect other colors which you see. For example: when you see orange, yellow and black colors on a butterfly, that comes from melanin ( that same pigment that tans your skin). More interesting are the structural colors of butterflies, which results from the specific structure of their wings. As for example, when you see blue, purple or white colors on butterflies, that’s because of structural colors. Actually, their wings are covered with a lot of tiny scales which are stacked over one another in form of layers and each layer is separated by little pockets of air. So, when the observer moves, due to the unique shape of each tiny scale color appears to fluctuate or shimmer and this quality is called iridescence. Iridescence happens when light passes through a transparent and multilayered surface, it is reflected more than once. These multiple reflections concentrate and compound one another and cause more vibrant colors. These colors help butterflies to communicate also as in ways to attract other butterflies, to camouflage or to send warn signals. And this iridescence quality is also shared by some fishes, humming bird or peacocks. So, that was the mystery behind the beautiful colors of butterflies, and next time when you find a butterfly flying before you, watch for its colors!!

Do aliens exist? Are we not alone?

What are aliens?? Do you believe that aliens actually do exist? 

Well it’s been an quite interesting question in our minds that do aliens share the universe with us?? and i know your answers must lie between “ MAY BE “ or a straight “NO”.

When I was in school, I’ve heard my science teacher saying that “if you can imagine it, it does exist”, and yes, science  approves it well that reality is infinite and whatever you can think of does exist somewhere, somehow in our limitless extra – dimensional universe.

so, if we can imagine of aliens somewhere in our multiverse, even it can be possible.as we can see that in our known universe , at least 1010 galaxies like ours exist and if we take the lowest probability, a minimum of 100s earth like planets  and many more civilizations could exist. But we also know that universe is expanding day by day which increases the probability even more. So this would clearly be a big NO’ NO’ to say that we are alone and it would not be a surprise if there would be another life.

Let’s turn out to a recent mind – blowing discovery of NASA in cosmology. Last week of Feb, 2017 was historic in the search of extrasolar planets. ASTRONOMERS ARE CELEBRATING A NEW DISCOVERY. FINALLY, WE’VE FOUND SEVEN ROCKY EARTH SIZED PLANETS WHICH ARE ORBITING A STAR WHICH IS NOW KNOWN AS “TRAPPIST” and like our solar system this seven planetary system (named from 'b' to 'h' ) is known as “TRAPPIST 1” system.

This is the very first time that after our solar system, some other planets have been discovered revolving around a particular star (TRAPPIST). This TRAPPIST is actually a red dwarf star. It only has about 8% of the mass and 11% radius of the sun and is found located 39 light years away from us.

In 2016, Trappist found only two planets but now in 2017, NASA’s SPITZER SPACE TELESCOPE discovered another five in addition.

NASA’s are beyond excited at the discovery of incredible star system as three out of those seven planets are present in “habitable zone” which means there could be liquid water on the surface and so the most likely chances for finding alien life there goes high.

Using Hubble space telescope, SCIENTISTS have already checked for heavy hydrogen envelope around the newly discovered seven planets as the heavy hydrogen atmosphere could have lowered the chances of habitability by trapping greenhouse gases, but they didn’t found such. Now, also this is a positive sign for searching some form of life there.

Well interestingly, these seven planets are pretty close to each other that standing on one planet one can see the geological features of the next planet and that close to their star that they used to complete one revolution around the star in 1.5 to 20 earth days, which means you can celebrate your birthday every 1.5 to 20 earth days..

Till date we’ve just discovered our sister star system, but surely in future years, we can expect to know a lot more about these planets and if there exists life, it can take a decade, says astronomers…

 ..but till then… We have to wait!!

Amazing aircraft from MAHABHARATA times!!

I remember how much fascinating it was to watch our all time classic and gloriously epic serials.."THE RAMAYANA" and "THE MAHABHARATA" . These national epics are poem of vast length and complexities.
 India is considered to be one of the oldest civilizations and it is also home to several oldest records of ancient technologies. Our mythology and the Vedic literature is filled with chronicles and legends of various giant and glorious aircrafts or flying chariots which are generally called "VIMANAS", which were used by both gods and demons for travelling in space or as warfare against each other. These vimanas are said to flew with the speed of the wind producing a humming sound( zzzzzzzz).

But actually the question arises whether the chronicles of ancient celestial "Vimanas" is mere a fantasy or a science fiction?? 

I know most of us have pondered this question several times in your minds..well, this for sure, a quite interesting topic to think upon!!

And this curiosity was increased a 1000 times when A 5000 yrs. OLD MYSTERIOUS VIMANA WAS FOUND IN THE CAVE OF KANDHAR, AFGHANISTAN!!

In 2010, a 5000 yr. old huge vimana, an aerial vehicle from ancient India was recently discovered in a lost cave in eastern Afghanistan which was stuck in "TIME WELL". To extract it from the cave eight US soldiers were secretly sent. But all the eight soldiers who were on the mission get disappeared suspiciously. 

According to reports that vimana was measured 12 cubits in circumference with four strong wheels connected with giant solar panels.
There is a similar account in our Indian epic "MAHABHARATA" that Kandhar King, Shakuni  was a very wealthy king and owned such a huge vimana which was equipped with blazing missiles and a circular reflector was attached to vimana which when switched on, it produced a "shaft of light"when focused on a target immediately consumed it with its power. And as Shakuni was a resident of Kandhar, it may be possible that the same vimana belonged to him only.

To this i can say, just because you can't see something doesn't mean its not there. Ask a blind man!!

Well, UFOs in ancient art is nothing new. So can we say THERE EXISTED THE FUTURE SCIENCE IN THE PAST VISIONS!!

According to scientists, such flying machines seems to be existed in the past as they show scientifically possible details. They say that those ancient vimanas are seem to be very similar to the modern airplanes and in the same manner they must be powered by some jet engines. They add that those vimanas must have used electricity and Mercury (Hg) propulsion system. When heat or electricity meet the mercury present in containers, thunder power develops which sets the driving whirlwind in motion and vimana becomes like a pearl in the sky. 
but now the question was,"What lies behind those mysterious aircrafts that they easily overcome the strong gravitational force"?
At this it is recorded that those aerial machines must had a major centrifugal force and magnetic power stronger enough to easily overcome the stronger gravitational pull and they say the vimana found in cave in Afghanistan was might be in activating state that its stronger magnetic field consumed the soldiers.

well, our mythology is so amazing that it may border science fiction, but as we uncover it..it provide serious food for thoughts. Like many other mythology, now the scientists truly believe that found of an ancient vimana is one of the most concrete evidence of our ancient mythology.
