LORD SHIVA and THE BEGINNING!!

 Lord Shiva and the beginning of life!!

As in Hindu mythology, lord Shiva is the fundamental god. The form in which lord Shiva is represented and being worshiped is called as “ling”. 

“Ling means symbol”. Man needs a symbol to worship, so the ling was created. A ling is only a symbol to identify something, for example, if someone is wearing a stethoscope, you would understand that he must be a doctor, similarly, worshiping ling means worshiping Lord Shiva.

In this post we are going to learn how shivling is related to universe and what modern science has to say about it.

Day by day we are learning about universe with our modern science. But it’s very surprising that these universe discoveries have been along with us in the symbolic form of shivling.

Big bang time calculation: - According to our scriptures, one earth year equals to one day of gods and 12 years of gods is one “KALP” and kalp is equal to “YUG”. 4 Yugs make one “Chaturyug”. Many of the Chaturyugs constitute one day & night of Brahma which makes 34560 million earth years and it is exactly the time of BIG BANG.

In the scriptures, it is written that as the result of the Big Bang explosion, the light form which appears is named as “Lord Shiva”. They say, the centrally located “TRINETRA” on shivling represents this explosion. The scriptures describe “Hiranyagarbha” – the beginning of life and the scriptures say this Hiranyagarbha is the thread or you can say the formula of life which is complete in it and reproduces itself without any organ. Even multiplies itself from 1 to 2, then from 2 to 4 & so on.

Now we know about DNA (which contains the genetic code). DNA reproduces itself and it is the basic formation of life, now if we compare it with DNA... We find them both same. So, as the life originates in the form of DNA, our rishis saw this supreme power is the beginning of life, which they called it SHIVA.

Our Rishis saw the structure originated from lord Shiva through meditation & explain it the same way the modern science explains DNA as a helical structure. A pair of snakes wrapped around shivaling represents the double helix structure as Rishis explain and proposed that it was the basic structure & entire nature begun with it. The properties suggested for DNA by modern science had also been earlier described in our scriptures.

But if Shiva is the supreme power, why the water poured over shivaling is not considered as holy or “CHARNAMARATA”!!

As Shiva originated due to Big Bang explosion, rishis say that Shiva has been created in the form of a mound first, a round mound. If you see also all the nuclear power plants are dome shaped and as the nuclear plants are radioactively explosive in nature, similarly shivaling is almighty and needs to be cooled down by pouring water and because the water poured over explosive dome must not be pure, so water used for “ABHISHEKA” of shivaling is not considered as “PRASADA”.

Shivaling is not mere a symbol. Our ancestors gave a message of beginning of life through the form of shivaling. they considers Shiva as an ultimate power so they say that we shouldn’t take a complete circle( parikrama ) around shivaling.

Now if you see, shivaling represents the atomic structure. Here, was double helix which they called Har (shiv) and Hari (Vishnu) and imagined that this ling has Har (neutron) and Hari (proton) inside and Brahma (electron) spins around in the form of Talhari Brahma which is tied with Hari by thread through his naval and can’t go too far away from him. Clearly, it is exactly same as present atomic structure of an atom.

Nucleus – (proton + neutron) and electrons rotate around the nucleus being held with a strong force of attraction.

So, Shiva is whole universe and not just for Hinduism only. We, man has caged it in the boundaries of religion. God is one supreme power…!! Understand it and respect it!!

Do we all have same blood group??

Yesterday my bestie met a severe accident and gone through a lot of bloodshed. When I reached to see him in the hospital, doc told me that my friend was losing blood faster than it could be transfused and so he needs more volume of blood. Without wasting a moment i volunteered, but unfortunately doc told me that I’m not the correct match for blood transfusion.

I couldn’t understand why?? Why I was unable to help my friend?? How I can be a mismatch to my bestie??
Disappointingly, I ask him the reason and all he mentioned was about blood typing and the blood system.

So, today we’re going to talk about our blood system, the ABO blood system & blood typing. Blood typing is a method to tell what type of blood you have and is done so you can safely donate and receive your blood.

Now, the question is don’t we all have same blood groups?? Answer is NO; Due to the presence of different types of oxygen carrying proteins, called antigens in RBCs, everyone does not have same blood type.

There are two types of antigens A & B and four probable blood types on the basis of their presence.

As if we’ve antigen A, our blood gp is A; if have antigen B, blood would be Type b. but besides these two types there are few people who don’t have any antigen in their RBCs (zero antigen blood) and show o type blood and others who have both the a & b antigens in their RBCs, show AB type blood group.

So there are 4 types of blood – A, B, AB & O.

So, if particularly you’ve type a blood, it means there is antigen a present in your body and you’ll recognize only a blood gp but if in case you get transfused with another type of blood , your body will generate antibodies to fight against  the foreign  antigens of transfusing blood  and so, reject that mismatch blood gp. Similar is with Type B blood. This is called blood typing.

In case of AB blood type, person can’t donate blood to any other blood type but can receive blood from any of the blood type groups (A, B, AB & O.). So, AB blood gp is the UNIVERSAL RECIPIENT.

And Type O persons are UNIVERSAL DONORS as they do not have any antigens in their blood composition and so are compatible match to any of the blood groups.

and now i understand the whole blood system and its importance as well..i hope this is pretty clear to  you guys now!!

TRIP TO UNIVERSE WITH JUST A PIECE OF PAPER

Universe !! which is all about mystery but yet fascinating above all. whenever we look at the sky, the celestial bodies make our hearts to echo. from a child to an oldie, everybody keeps a desire to touch them, to feel them, but it's just a dream for us, only astronauts can reach.

 

At this note, if we say even you can reach the Moon, that too, just sitting in  your room and just with some folding of paper!!!!

What would be your reaction???????

                             SURPRISED.......but that's the potential of EXPONENTIAL MATHEMATICS.

Instead of thinking linearly, let's think exponentially.... 

So, let's start the magical  journey.......

Take a paper and if you fold this paper into half, it would now be twice as thick as it was before. again, if you fold it, you'll get 4 times thicker paper and if you fold it further third time, you'll get 8 times the origianl thickness...and so on......

Let's see the pattern ___if originally paper is 0.01 cm, it will turn 0.02cm thicker in one turn and then 0.04 cm in second turn and 0.08 cm in third turn and so on....

Can you judge the pattern....its exponent of 2...let's have a look...

So with tenth fold you will get 1.024 cm thick paper....in seventeenth fold it will 131cm (this height woul be equivalent to 4 ft).

In25 folds thickness will cover 0.05 milesdistance, it is like a height of a tower...

With 40 folds....

With this exponential growth in about 94 folding of paper you can make trip to whole universe....

Do aliens exist? Are we not alone?

What are aliens?? Do you believe that aliens actually do exist? 

Well it’s been an quite interesting question in our minds that do aliens share the universe with us?? and i know your answers must lie between “ MAY BE “ or a straight “NO”.

When I was in school, I’ve heard my science teacher saying that “if you can imagine it, it does exist”, and yes, science  approves it well that reality is infinite and whatever you can think of does exist somewhere, somehow in our limitless extra – dimensional universe.

so, if we can imagine of aliens somewhere in our multiverse, even it can be possible.as we can see that in our known universe , at least 1010 galaxies like ours exist and if we take the lowest probability, a minimum of 100s earth like planets  and many more civilizations could exist. But we also know that universe is expanding day by day which increases the probability even more. So this would clearly be a big NO’ NO’ to say that we are alone and it would not be a surprise if there would be another life.

Let’s turn out to a recent mind – blowing discovery of NASA in cosmology. Last week of Feb, 2017 was historic in the search of extrasolar planets. ASTRONOMERS ARE CELEBRATING A NEW DISCOVERY. FINALLY, WE’VE FOUND SEVEN ROCKY EARTH SIZED PLANETS WHICH ARE ORBITING A STAR WHICH IS NOW KNOWN AS “TRAPPIST” and like our solar system this seven planetary system (named from 'b' to 'h' ) is known as “TRAPPIST 1” system.

This is the very first time that after our solar system, some other planets have been discovered revolving around a particular star (TRAPPIST). This TRAPPIST is actually a red dwarf star. It only has about 8% of the mass and 11% radius of the sun and is found located 39 light years away from us.

In 2016, Trappist found only two planets but now in 2017, NASA’s SPITZER SPACE TELESCOPE discovered another five in addition.

NASA’s are beyond excited at the discovery of incredible star system as three out of those seven planets are present in “habitable zone” which means there could be liquid water on the surface and so the most likely chances for finding alien life there goes high.

Using Hubble space telescope, SCIENTISTS have already checked for heavy hydrogen envelope around the newly discovered seven planets as the heavy hydrogen atmosphere could have lowered the chances of habitability by trapping greenhouse gases, but they didn’t found such. Now, also this is a positive sign for searching some form of life there.

Well interestingly, these seven planets are pretty close to each other that standing on one planet one can see the geological features of the next planet and that close to their star that they used to complete one revolution around the star in 1.5 to 20 earth days, which means you can celebrate your birthday every 1.5 to 20 earth days..

Till date we’ve just discovered our sister star system, but surely in future years, we can expect to know a lot more about these planets and if there exists life, it can take a decade, says astronomers…

 ..but till then… We have to wait!!

NO SOCIETY CAN AFFORD TO IGNORE AIR POLLUTION !!

With dawn, there comes a feel of warmth, but the sunlight remains hidden behind the smoggy haze…… Alas !!!

Over the years due to rapid urbanization, New Delhi’s air quality has been steadily worsened. Pollutants not only harm children’s developing lungs, but can actually damage their developing brains & future permanently.

But for this time…More thanks to Diwali 2016 weekend.. On Sunday, India celebrated Diwali with lamps, candles, feasting & firecrackers.. But a day after, New Delhi get choked with a thick dark smog.

The condition is ghastly in            Delhi NCR!!

For now that hazy smog has started being reduced, but the air pollution level is still alarming in Delhi NCR and Delhi ranks among the world’s one of the most polluted cities.

Imagine how much easier life would be if you’ve an exact copy of yourself to do the things what you don’t want to do.. There are so many scientists who believe that CLONING  would drastically help humans in population and in creating a better world. But there’s a lot of disadvantages as well.

If I ask you, which is the most famous sheep in the world?

..what would you say then, a sheep called DOLLY.

Why is DOLLY so famous?

Bcoz DOLLY was not born in the usual way as other sheep do. She doesn't have a father as clones don't need any father.

She’ s the carbon copy of her mother, ( like an identical twin ), who was 6 years older to her.

History of cloning

The ability to create a clone, used to be a science fiction,

• But scientists have proved it wrong and kept on experimenting
• Spans more than 100  years
• In 1600s, there was plant cloning where plant cutting simply be used to generate clones 
• First ARTIFICIAL ANIMAL CLONING began in 1885
• HANS ADOLF EDUARD DRIESCH performed first technical cloning with SEA URCHINS 
  
• HANS SPEMANN performed first vertebrate cloning with SALAMANDERS in 1902 (unsuccessful so far) and again performed the experiment in 1928, this time successfully 
  
•  ROBERT BRIGGS & THOMAS KING carried a more successful NUCLEAR TRANSFER TECHNIQUE                                                                                         This is  process in which the nucleus of a somatic cell ( cell other than reproductive cell) is transferred to an enucleated egg cell

Lot of controversies over HUMAN CLONING & STEM CELL RESEARCH are going on, many had falsely claimed but no stronger evidence were present.
Cloning has surely opened new doors to medical advancements but also it accompanies several  ethical and social dilemmas.Coming to an agreement on this hot subject is not easy, but understanding it deeply can lead to some clarity. Taking a look at it from both sides and comparing its pros and cons can give us a different perspective!!
